Researching the Matthew (Mathias) and Rose KEMP family of Stephenson county, Illinois and later Ingham county, Michigan. Mathias KEMP and Rosalia (Hildebrandt) were married in 1876 Sauk county, Wisconsin. By the early 1900s they were in Freeport, Illinois with children- Mathew, Joseph, Frank, Hattie, Theresa, Rosa, Mary, and Eva. By 1920 the family had moved to Lansing, Michigan. Children married into the following families- Martinez, Gastman, Harris, Wassell, Hornberger, Mullen, and Deethardt. Matthew died 1921 in Lansing and Rose died 1952 in San Antonio, Texas.
