    3. Hi Folks. Please bear with me while I give you all some information. * * * * * * * * * * REUNION - The deadline for reserving your room at Captain Jack's is now less than a week away. After October 1st, we cannot guarantee you a room, nor can we guarantee you a favorable daily rate. Avoid disappointment and call in your reservation quickly!! For those who have misplaced their brochure, check the Home Page. The telephone number for Captain Jack's is: 617-595-7910 * * * * * * * * * * DUES REMINDER - This is a gentle "prod" to those of you who have joined the Kemp Family Association through our web page. Dues for the year are $10. If you have not sent your dues to me, then you are NOT a member. You can send your check or money order to: Kemp Family Association Post Office Box 544 Sandy Hook, CT 06482 For our foreign members - I fully realize how expensive it can be to get a money order in U.S. dollars. Don't let that keep you from becoming a member. Drop me a note, and I'll see what we can do. * * * * * * * * * * KEMP FILES - Yes, I know its been a while since an issue of Kemp Files has been seen in mailboxes around the country. I've been overwhelmed with work (hey, gotta pay my ISP somehow, right?) and just trying to keep up with queries has become a full-time chore. Once I finish this eMail, I'm going back to work on the current issue. I would like to get it in the mail this weekend (before I leave for vacation - more on that in a moment) This issue will have an article on Irish Kemp's, a Kemp clan who has had 52 annual reunions, Kemp's in South Dakota, and of course, member queries. * * * * * * * * * * The wife and I will be leaving this Saturday for England. We'll be visiting friends north of London. While there, I will be making a trip to Canterbury to meet with KFA member Shelagh Mason, and to spend time seeing the sights associated with the family of the Kemp's of Ollantigh (which includes John Kemp, Archbishop of Canterbury, back in 1400's). Obviously, I can "feel" an article for the Kemp Files coming from this trip. * * * * * * * * * * The Association's Historian, Jamie "Kay" Kemp Taylor, would like me to remind all of you that, due to the overwhelming numbers of queries recieved, that she can only respond to queries submitted by members of KFA. (Another gentle jab - have you paid your dues??) Kay has been a real work horse for the Association, and she also manages to find time for queries on the Middleton surname. Kay says she is several weeks behind in her correspondence, and also is trying valiantly to get her materials together for the Reunion. Your patience would be appreciated. * * * * * * * * * * Well, guess that's it for this trip. I hope all of you have had a delightful summer (or winter, for our friends "down under").
