He had land on the "drains of Crooked Run, a branch of Shenahoah River". Their children were Mary, Sally, Barbara, John and James. It is daughter Barbara that was my ancestor (she married first Thomas Cooke, then Richard Hankins, and ended up in Bledsoe Co., TN). I would love to find a marriage record for James and Barbara, her maiden name, or anything else of the family prior to 1790. My John J. Kemp b. 1802 m. Frances Bolling, Gloucester Co., VA. James was his father. The Bollings, Peytons and Gilliams are part of the line.
