I have just joined the list and posting my interests. My KEMP names are from Kent in England around Ash-next-Sandwich, Eastry, Staple and Sholden; all in the Sandwich area. I have a few names I would like to have more information on, if anyone can help? My KEMP names link to my own family through marriages in 1942 and 1962; the same lady, Kathleen Winifred KEMP married two brothers twenty years apart George Albert ASKEY and Harry Godson ASKEY. Her father was George Alfred KEMP b.1890; his father was Austin Kemp b.1858 and his father James KEMP b.1818. Any help would be appreciated. regards, Keith ASKEY
Hi Keith, Replying to your posting of 11th June re: your Kemp interests in Kent. Some of my Kemp family interests are from this area also.......although the names you mentioned do not match in with any of mine as yet. Other locations include Preston-next-Wingham as well as Eastry and the others you mentioned. I have a Winifred amongst my lot, but she only seems to have married once - to an Ernest Giles around 1910.
