My great great grandmothers name was Lourania Kemp and she was born in Georgia around 1822. She married a Lewis Wesley Kennedy/Canaday and moved to Alabama. Her brothers name was Jason B. Kemp and he moved to Liberty County, Florida. I don't know how common the name Laurania or Lourania was back then but I am wondering if perhaps Laurania could have been an aunt to Lourania and Jason. Also she appears to have been called Luraney.She named her children: William Bird Rosey Ann Caroline Eliza- Ann Augusta Mary Catherine Ala Lewis Wesley - after his father Daniel Jason Luraney Georgia Almeada sp?
