The only one that I have listed so far that would match your query is Colin b1835 Edinburgh parish, Edinburgh with parents William Kemp & Mary Hossack - I haven't traced them yet but it is quite likely that William's father was a Colin. All the Colins apart from the one you are tracing & one other were either born, married or had children in Ross & Cromarty so this may be where this line came from. The other Colin with a link to Edinburgh was one that married an Agnes Andrew 28/02/1797 Edinburgh parish & could possibly be the grandfather of your Colin b1835. Might be worth buying the OPR images for these 2 events. The Colin b1835 also shows up on both the 1841 & 1851 Scotland censuses from what I can see.
