Although Groton VR's do not list parents, it is probable that he was the son of Samuel Kemp and Elizabeth Kezar. If this is factual, then the Samuel Kemp of Salem would be Samuel (6) Kemp, descended from the immigrant Samuel Kemp. I have been working on the comprehensive genealogy of Samuel Kemp for more than 30 years. I've got literally dozens of "maybe" families such as this in my files.
