I don't really know much about the Greaves except that John Greaves of Tynemouth (Northumberland,UK) had a daughter called Jane who married John Binney in 1790. One of their granddaughters was called Jane Greaves Binney and she and two of her sons ended up in New Zealand in the 1860's. Thanks for the information about DNA studies.
