I am trying to find more information on my Great Grandfather. His name was James Marion Kemp. He was born in Mississippi around 1854. His family later lived in Tennessee. In the 1870s he and a brother John lived in Arkansas County AR according to the 1880 census. James Marion Kemp was married to Francis Elizabeth Kennedy and their first born son was named Albert M. Kemp (I don't believe he lived to be very old). Since some of the family names are similar (Marion and Albert), I was wondering if there was some connection between our lines. I know James Marion Kemp had a brother called Bud and a sister called Hildie in addition to the brother named John. Although my Grandfather said his James Marion Kemp had grown up in Adamsville, TN, he also mentioned traveling frequently to Memphis and seemed to have connections there, too. I know his brother John had a saw mill and his son James, my grandfather, worked for the railroad. Please let me know if you see any possi! ble connections. Thanks.
