    3. Hi listers: I'm still looking for which one of four Sarah KEMP possibilities christened at Portsea in the early 1800's married Edmund SQUIRE. Any clues? Any suggestins welcomed. This is the SQUIRE/KEMP line I have so far: Julia SQUIRE c. 10 Jan 1830, parents Edmund SQUIRE and Sarah Mother?: Sarah KEMP c. 16 Jun 1805, parents George KEMP and Sarah Sarah KEMP c. 26 Jul 1805, parents James KEMP amnd Elizabeth Sarah KEMP c. 31 Oct 1806, parents Robert KEMP and Hannah Sarah KEMP c. 30 Sep 1808, parents William KEMP and Jane. Father: Edmund SQUIRE, m. Sarah KEMP, 8 Jan 1826 Edmund SQUIRE, c. 2 May 1802, parents Robert SQUIRE and Martha Julia SQUIRES, c. 13 Jan 1805, St. Peters Danielk Street Wesleyan, Portsea, Hants (probably only sibling of Edmund) parents Robert SQUIRES and Martha. All others of above at St. Mary's, Portsea, Hampshire. Grandfather: Robert Joice SQUIRE, m. Martha BOUND, 15 Aug 1802, Alverstoke, Hampshire. Robert Joice SQUIRE, m. Hannah RAYNER, 30 Jun 1806, St. Mary's, Portsea, Hants. Sarah SQUIRE was 47 in the 1851 census so was born abt. 1804, and daughter Julia was 24, so she would have need born abt. 1827, which fits the marriage date well. They lived at 33 Lion Place. Sarah was then a widow, government annuitant, and Julia was a dressmaker. That's about all I have found out so far. If anyone has any connections with the SQUIRE or KEMP lines or persons listed here, I'd be delighted to hear from you. Regards, Martin Willcocks Salt Lake City, UT, USA.
