    3. Hello List, Thought I would post to see if anyone else knows anything about this Kemp family listed on the 1861 census. RG9 1547, folio 118, page 14, entry 72 Holmbush, StAustell William Kemp/head/mar/32/Mine captain/b Cornwall, StAustell--"Father listed as Richard" Eliza Kemp/wife/mar/32/b Cornwall, StBlazey--"Maiden name Avery--Father listed as Richard" Mary Jane Kemp/dau/9/b Cornwall, StAustell William Kemp/son/6/b Scholar, StAustell Alfred James Kemp/son/4/b Cornwall, StAustell William Kempe died : 27 January 1862, West Crinnis Mine, StAustell, in a mine accident. His family is listed here in the 1871 census: RG10 2263, folio 42, page 12, entry 66 Holmbush, StAustell, Cornwall Eliza Kemp/head/wid/43/Tin miner/b Cornwall, StAustell Mary Jane Kemp/dau/unm/19/Tin mine girl/b Cornwall, StAustell WilliamKemp/son/unm/16/Tin miner/b Cornwall, StAustell Alfred Kemp/son/14/Tin miner/b Cornwall, StAustell Alfred Kemp went to Australia sometime between 1871 and 1880 with Mary Charlotte Oliver, daughter of Richard Oliver and Mary Mitchell, from St.Blazey. A marriage certificate was never found. They had 2 children there. Alfred died in Australia in 1882 and Mary Charlotte came back to Roche, Cornwall, with her 2 children to her parents house, she died in 1885. We don't know what happened to Eliza, Mary Jane, or William listed in the 1871 census. A death certificate for Eliza was not found and I couldn't match up any William's or Mary Jane's with information from Australia....... Does this match up with anybody? Thanks in advance, Sincerely, Bill Kemp, Fl. USA.
