Kemp Perry says that her father was born in IRELAND - that's the first one that asked about parents' birthplaces. She also says on that census that her mother was born in England. Do you know where Margaret Campbell was born? I couldn't find Sabina Kemp after 1860, when she was age 22 and living with Wm. and Jane W. Perry. Who did she marry? Do you have a death date for her? The death date that I have for Thomas in California is Apr. 9, 1870. Do you think that your Thomas could have died that soon? Do you have any info to say whether he might have married again? There were some other records at St. Peter's Episcopal Church for Kemp families - these are all children of Richard Sampson Kemp, brother of "my" Thomas: Thomas, Oct 2, 1825 Anne Maria, Dec 2, 1827 Richard Simon, Nov 1, 1829 Mary Ann, Mar 4, 1832 Richard, Nov 2, 1834 The marriage of Thomas S. and Margaret Harris on Feb 17, 1830 is there, as are marriages for four other Kemps that I haven't yet identified - none known to be from my family. One of my Simon Kemp's daughters also married a physician from Tennessee, Wm. L. Henderson - they lived in Memphis. I can't seem to find it now, but I thought that I saw some information by you mentioning Gulfport, Louisiana. My great-aunt died in Gulfport in 1956 and my grandmother died in New Orleans in 1959. My mother said that they had a winter home in Gulfport and that everybody liked to go down to visit them at one time or another. They were permanent residents of Baltimore. Teresa
