From the information in your previous posts, I didn't realize that you already knew about an Irish connection for these families. I thought that you were questioning the fact that "your" Thomas could be from Ireland. I feel sure that both of our Thomas Kemps are one and the same. Thank you very much for all of the additional information on the Orr and Campbell families. I did find a Sabina Dismukes, age 45, b. TN, in the 1880 census - she is listed as being Single and is just a "visitor" at the home of a Doxy family, so this may not be the correct one. I have been unable to find her in 1870. I noticed that William T. Kemp says that he was born in Tennessee in all of his census records. You say in the above post that he was born in Kentucky. Please contact me at my e-mail address if you wouldn't mind furnishing me with more information, as I doubt that anyone else would be interested in any more details on these families.
