My grandfather Elijah Hickman's (m. Mary Geneva McKnight) mother was Susan Ethridge in TN. Her husband was James Hickman, and they had Cyntha Kemp, grandmother, living with them in the 1870 census in DeKalb Co., TN. Does any of this sound like anything you are familiar with???
