All I know is that on his tombstone is G L Kemp. My mother spoke of him as Lon Kemp. Also George Kemp. He moved from Ohio to Missouri. I found records of orphan trains that have a lon Kemp that came from Ohio to Missouri. Census records also state that he was from Ohio. He was born April 1848 and died Feb 1916. Do you have any idea of where in Ohio? My Kemps were in Pickaway/Fayette County, Ohio on Deer Creek.
