I am searching , mostly in vain, for my Grt Grt Grandfather William Kemp born(1839 in INDIANA, Parents born in VIRGINIA ) married Clarissa/Clara DALRYMPLE(1844 IND.) in Berrien, MICHIGAN on April 2, 1865. They bore Children Annita, Frank P. and Nathan Ralph while in Michigan. They moved to Smith County, KANSAS before 1875 where Children Ruth and twins Pearl and Earl were born. Ok, here is the Mystery; A Cousin through Nathan Ralph KEMP states that Oral History says that one of our KEMP Ancesters was involved in a Shipwreak out at sea. Our Kemp Ancester was just a boy and survived the wreak when found washed ashore still tied to the Mast of the sailing ship. Now, Come on! This story is just too good for no other Kemp to hear about it. Sorry, no Date Known. Can anyone help me with this story and even more important.....Who are my William Kemp's Parents? Thank you. Blessings, Tami
