She was born Sept. 21, 1913, in Roodhouse, the daughter of James Oscar and Anna Sophia Anderson Kemp. She married Harry Eugene Lemon in 1933 in Roodhouse; he died in 1997. Mrs. Lemon worked at Search IGA in White Hall for many years. She was a member of the White Hall First Baptist Church, Golden Era Women's Club, Oak Grove Women's Club and Double Dozen Club in Roodhouse. Survivors: two sons, Merle Gene (wife, Ruth) Lemon of Jacksonville and William Rudolph (wife, Trudie) Lemon of rural Roodhouse; three daughters, Marilyn (husband, Bob) Van Liew of Shelby, Mich., Carolyn (husband, Jim) Johns of St. Louis and Janice (husband, Stan) Roberts of rural Carrollton; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Carl (wife, Audrey) Kemp of rural Roodhouse; and several nieces and nephews. Services: 3:30 p.m. Sunday, White Hall First Baptist Church. Burial: Fernwood Cemetery, Roodhouse.
