Surnames: dwiggins, ingram Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EZm.2ACIB/1483 Message Board Post: Hobart Kemp of Gary, Indiana was killed February 19, 1944, while serving in the south Pacific during World War II. He is buried in the Manila American Cemetery in the Philippines. We are seeking information regarding his military and civilian life and especially locate any family members still living so we can send them the free photograhs of his grave site and the beautiful memorial in the Philippines. I am a retired Hoosier from Madison County residing in the Philippines with my Filipino wife. We are seeking family and military information about servicemen from your county killed in the South Pacific during World War II. There are 17,206 Americans buried here and thousands more that are missing or buried at sea and are honored on the “Tablets of the Missing”. Please visit our website to see the beautiful memorial located in Manila, Philippines. http://fizkid.tripod.com/ My wife and I visited the cemetery as visitors and left with a mission in our heart. We have been taking photographs of the graves of the Indiana servicemen buried here and have been uniting them (at no charge) with their family members in Indiana and across the United States. To receive the photo of your family member, neighbor or friend all you need is a working email address. We do not send them to regular mailing addresses due to the costs. Please help us find the families of the men that might still be living. Our project is only successful because of teamwork and your contributions are noted on our website. If you wish to help us we will be pleased to add your name to our ACKNOWLEDGMENT page on the website. The obituaries usually did not appear till to three months after the death date. If you are not a genealogist you can help by just picking up the telephone directory and find someone with the same last name and give them a call. It has worked many times for us. 1. Off Topic Post - Windows XP System Save and Restore
    2. G.J.Pace
    3. I include the following information because I believe it to be of general interest and benefit. Readers may wish to forward this information to other PC users of their acquaintance. Microsoft Windows XP (only) includes a system save and restore facility. You can read about it and several other useful tips at this CNET URL: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-10165_7-5601335-1.html?tag=nl.e501 This utility allows you to save the configuration of your system, including all software that you have installed, and at a future time revert to this configuration. You might wish to set this up to automatically run weekly or monthly. Should you then download some nasty spyware, you can fall back to the most recently saved configuration of your system and just make the new, intrusive software disappear. This technique will also resolve some but not all virus infections. Read the tips and, if you have Windows XP, I suggest that you make a backup of your system periodically to preclude any future catastrophe. Note, this suggestion is particularly important if you share your computer with others, most notably children, who are likely to be indiscriminate in what they download. Regards to all, Gary Pace San Jose, CA researching the descendants and antecedents of Henry B. Kemp

    3. Hi again everyone. I’m re-posting in the hope that there are Kemps out there and that they will find a link with William Kemp and Jane or Jean McKay. It is shown that Jane was from Knockandhu, Glenlivet and that William was from Drum of Carrow in Aberlour ( not sure if I copied that down right.) Any help greatly appreciated. William in Montreal 1.
