    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/EZm.2ACIB/1596 Message Board Post: I'm looking for the family of my gg-grandmother, Frances / Fanny Kemp. The only information that I have on Fanny Kemp is: b. about / probably around 1847 m. Andrew / Andy Carter sometime around the end of the Civil War Andrew (Andy) Carter was b. in Macon County in February 1847, and was the son of Harlan Carter and Joanna Davis. Census records show that Fanny and Andrew were living in Smith County Tennessee in 1870 and Warren County (Bowling Green) Kentucky in 1880. The only other information that I have re Frances / Fanny Kemp is that her name is listed as "J. F. Carter" on the grave marker of her oldest son. However, the listing grave marker is the only time that there is any reference to her first name beginning with a "J", as everyone else that has anything on her and the census records that I have located, always list her name as Fanny or Frances. Also, I have a picture of excellent quality of Andrew and Frances. Any help, advice or even a good guess would be greatly appreciated, Thanks ~ Judy

Surnames: Kemp, Frith, Dwyer, Dorsey, Offutt Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/EZm.2ACIB/1588 Message Board Post: Richard married Flora Annan (?) in about 1921 and had a son, Richard, Jr. about 1926. They were living in Washington DC at the time of the 1930 census. In 1938 the family was living in Baltimore where Richard worked in the Bromo Seltzer Bldg. He wrote a letter to a Kemp living in Australia in 1938, evidently one in a series of letters regarding Kemp family research, as the Mr. Kemp there also had ancestors who lived in the city of Cork, County Cork, Ireland at the same time as Richard's ancestors. Richard was the son of Francis Stanislaus Kemp, b. Nov 1863 in MD, and Lillian Agnes Offutt, b. 22 Dec 1861 in MD. His family lived in Catonsville in 1920, Harrisonville in 1910 & 1900. Did Richard Kemp continue his Kemp family research into his Irish roots? Do any of his descendants have any further information. When and where did he die? Were there other children other than Richard, Jr.? Thanks, Teresa

We would love to connect with their children or other relatives. Even if you are not sure, contact us and we will be more than willing to share information. We have found evidence that several had more than one family, and some left the Edgefield (SC) area. In May 2007, we will have a Kemp Extravaganza. Severl of yus has connected, and it truly has been and incredible journey, and an awesome blessing!
