Ella Kemp STARKE-Ella Ann (Place)Kemp, 63, of Starke died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at Shands Starke. A former resident of Texas, Mrs. Kemp had lived in Starke for the past five years. Born in Baliston Spa, N.Y., Mrs. Kemp was the daughter of Clinton E. and Lillian H. (Heffner) Place. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Gordon Kemp; five children, Clinton Kemp of N.Y., Eric Kemp of Minnesota, Wenonah Hoff and Tracy Kemp, both of Texas, and Lucinda Kemp of South Dakota; a sister, Kristy Gangi of Starke; 25 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services are private and under the care of Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Breast Cancer Awarness Association. Note: I am of no relation, but my sympathies go out to those of you who are. This is here as a lasting memorial for Mrs. Kemp. Marion Kemp born around 1920 was a friend of my mother's in PA. I do not know if Marion was born in PA. for sure or how my mother met her but I ended up being named after her. I am trying to find out if she ever married and who she married. I would like to know if she is still living. Sorry I know this isn't much to go on but it is all I have. Willie was released to CHS on February 9, 1906 after he was weaned. It seems Susan wasn't raised by her mother either. Sad family (My family!). Yes, that is what I know of my family tree! Susan married Wilbur and later on they divorced and she left him with the three children they had together (my granny wasn't raised by her mother). The one I am really intersted in is Sidney and / or Mary. I do love family history too and this is the last 'line' to fill in the blanks for my history (this is on my mother's mother's side - I have her father's info and both sides of my father's) so I am curious - where did Sidney come from? A death certificate can give you all sorts of interesting info like his age at death which would give you an idea about his birth date. There is an S R A Kemp (Sidney Readdie?) listed for dying in 1904 in Hernando county (the other Sidney). The only other listing for Kemps in Levy county in the FL desth index is for a Sarah Kemp (black) who died in 1905 (Card #4367). I have also found a family tree at ancestry (yours?) http://trees.ancestry.com/pt/person.aspx?tid=5738845&pid=-1402416263 I see that Susan married a Davis which makes it interesting because my mother was a Davis who married a Kemp.
