    1. 1997 Reunion
    2. ROBERT YOUNG
    3. The time is getting closer. As summer begins to wane, it is time to think of the 1997 Annual Reunion of the Kemp Family Association. November 6-9, 1997 Cap'n Jack's Waterfront Inn Swampscott, Massachusetts The brochures went to the printer today, and should be in the mail by next Monday. At least we do not have to rely on UPS <G> If you haven't checked out the tentative information on the Reunion that Linda posted to our web page, why not check it now?? If you are not a paid member of the Association, that's OK. You can still come to the Reunion - although we'd much rather count you as a member. 2. So sorry I haven't replied. I am not lost, just extremely busy with two children at home on summer vacation, a baby and a husband who is very busy at work and with two master's classes. I saved Joan's original message, intending to get back with her before now. I promise to reply today, although I don't have much for her. Sorry for the delay. Jayne Eannarino

    3. I am seeking info on the family of James Kempe of Va. and Missi. who died in 1819. He had these children: Jane, Frances, Margaret, James, Thomas, and David. I have tried twice to contact the person who put up a query on the web about this family, w/out success. Does anyone know who I might contact '[email protected]'? Thanks very much. 2. Linda, I would try the France section in AOL Roots forum, also with Dunkirk being so close to Kent England, this family may be from Kent.

    2. My husband' is descended from John A. Kemp, b. 1793 in NC. His children by his first wife (unknown) were Henry*, Kinchen, John, Joshua, Sara, Siety (Society), & Zilphy. He lived in Emanuel Co. where he died in 1859. He may have fathered twin infants buried in the Kemp cemetery known only as G.M. & L.L. Kemp b & d 8-5-1817. The only other Kemp mentioned in Emanuel Co at this early date was Thomas who received a grant. We think that John A. may be the son of Joshua, Jr of Craven Co. NC. But have no actual proof. I have John's descendants if anyone is interested. I would love to connect him to the NC Kemps (William) that you mentioned. Thanks, Peggy Kemp, Marietta, GA

    2. Thank you for your response. I will be on the lookout for the southern Kemps. I do know that another of my relatives Phillip Hundley 1658 in Va. married an Ann Kemp in Va. So I've got both sides of my family names in the South. Let me know what you find out about the Indians. My grandmother use to tell me we had married into an Indian tribe somewhere in the background. Interesting! Keep in touch. Carolyn
