LUDWIG KAEMMERER born in ?Schaffenberg, Germany in 1858, he immigrated around 1880/1881 to New York City. In 1881/1882 he married Matilda Dobler/Dorbler b. Wurtemburg/Wittenburg, Germany in 1862. She arrived in America in May1881 aboard the ship Hapsburg from Bremen. Also aboard that ship was a GOTTLEIB KAMMERER. Unknown if he is related to Ludwig. Mathilda and Ludwig had four children b. 1883-1887. Ludwig was a baker in New York and died from TB in June 1891 and is buried in the Lutheran cemetery. The family later dropped the "e" and went by Kammerer. I have not yet begun any researchin German records .... any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
