Making of America. Yes, fantastic materials available. I am able to print them in satisfactory fashion. I use either search - but for surname the simple seach works fine. When told there were 5 matches in 2 journals and 1 book......or similar msg. Click on that line to view them. Be sure to use your bar to move down to the lower part of the page to see a msg like p 458 p 923 and click on one of the pages. (they are underlined) The material to view is in the lower 1/2 of your screen and doesn't fit. That is ok for viewing as you can scroll over Rt Lf and Up Dwn. Look in the upper left corner of the upper 1/2 of your screen. It will say View as: 75+ACU- 1. Change the 75+ACU- to 50+ACU- (drop down) 2. Now click on the words 'View as' 3. Now click on the bottom 1/2 of your screen where the material to print is. 4. Now under file pull down menu there will be a way to print. On my netscape it says Print Frame. I have used Explorer 4.0 also. Example of the fun this site brings. My husband is 8th cousin 4x removed of General Wm T. Sherman and also a Distant relative of General William McE. Dye. In Making of America I found a nine page long treaty with the Sioux Indians which General Sherman negotiated - and his name is there right on the top of page one - and William McEntyre Dye was one of the witnesses way down below all the Indians' signatures (marks) on page 9. Finding his two relatives together at that one moment was just so much fun+ACEAIQ-. Now where else on the NET or in genealogical sources was that likely to happen ? and it was all while sitting at home in front of the screen.+ACE- This experience made my whole day that day. I was so elated to have that find. And yes, I printed out the whole nine pages+ACE- Sorry to take so much of your time with something personal. Jayne Wunsch Dye, Lancaster OH, birthplace of General Sherman.
