Hi Everyone, I have put much thought to this puzzle. Who are the parents for Margaret Mclain? A marriage record in Jefferson County, Ohio shows, William Kelly married a Margaret McClean on June 26, 1806. I also found a Thomas Parmore who married a Mary McClane on October 25, 1808. Since both these ladies must of had parents in the same location at the time of thier marriage I went checking Census records. And this is what I found. Interesting fact that William & Margaret (Mclain) Kelly named thier children using the same first names. Could the Mary McClane who was married two years later in the same county in Ohio be the sister to Margaret Mclain??
