Hi I have just started researching my family on my Dad's Side. I have various bits of info: My Great Granddad was Michael Kelly a School Master in Elphin in the late 1800's early 1900's, he was married (to Possibly Anne or Catherine I'm not sure) and had a large family. His eldest Son was called Gilly(?) and was born in approx 1900, I believe he moved to Boyle, (the reason for this is my Dad visited family with his parents in the early 1960's, and they stayed in Boyle. My Granddad was called Gerard Alfonses (the spellings are probably not correct), he married Teresa May (Mae) and they had a son Gilbert before moving to Corsham, Wiltshire, England, where they had a further 4 Sons (including My Dad, Donald Declan). My Gran Teresa also came from a very large family, I know very little about her family, 2 of her Sisters were Nuns and emigrated to Australia (one was called Sister Benedict). She also had a Brother Dennis who emigrated to Sydney Australia and became a Postman. I know that Michael Kelly is buried in a grave yard in Elphin (I've seen it!). I believe that all of the above mentioned people were Catholic. If anybody is able to help me with further information i.e. names, date's, locations etc I would be very grateful. Thank You Katie Kelly katie@queenfield.freeserve.co.uk
