    1. Most wanted Kelly's: Timothy KELLY and Julia KELLY DUNN
    2. Kevin Kelly
    3. My most wanted Kelly's are Timothy and his sister Julia. Daniel Kelly + Catharine Fleming: Timothy, John D., Mary (Harrington), Margaret (Hagerty), Julia (Dunn), Patrick D. Timothy Kelly was probably born around 1825 in Ireland. He is the eldest of the six children of Daniel Kelly (died Ireland, probably around 1839-1846) and Catharine Fleming (about 1801, Ireland, to 1871/2, Wisconsin). Tim's mother and most or all of his siblings settled in New Diggings, Lafayette County, Wisconsin in the 1850's. These Kelly's started arriving there probably not much earlier than about 1855. Tim and his younger brother, John, were supposed to be the first who came to America. I don't yet know just when, or their whereabouts prior to WI, but I do know that their mother and her two youngest arrived in 1849 or maybe 1847, and spent time in Philadelphia at the house of a prospector. John Kelly married Johanna Lynch (who was born in Massachusetts), probably about 1856. I believe that Johanna grew up in New Diggings, although that has not been proven. If so, her family spent time in New York before the went to Massachusetts and then Wisconsin. I have found no record yet for Timothy. Our family account shows that he married, with a question mark for his wife's name. They are said to have had one child, Margaret, who later became a nun (Sister Mary Honorius, O.P.). The Timothy Kelly's I have found in New Diggings censuses don't seem to be a match. Julia came to the U.S. with her mother, probably in 1849. Our family account shows that she married Daniel Dunn, and lists John, Margaret, James, and Ann as their children. I found a Daniel Dunn (28, Ireland) and Julia (25, Ireland) in the 1860 census for N.D., but the children's names are John (3), Mary (1), and Hannah (2 mos.). I can make Ann out of Hannah, but where are Margaret and James, and who is Mary? Based on census records Julia's older sister Margaret should have a birthdate around 1833. Patrick was born at various times depending on which census record you believe, but he eventually stuck with 1837. That would make Julia around 25 in 1860, so the age of this Julia Kelly is plausible. The family account does not say where Daniel and Julia married, nor what happened to their family later. If you have any data that may be related to one of these Kelly's, or I might have data related to your searches, please contact me. Thanks, Kevin Patrick Kelly, g-g-son of Patrick D. Kelly
