My gg grandfather b. 1755, d. 1868 (113 years!!!!!) is my most wanted ancestor in so far as I can get no further back. He is my tallest brick wall. His name was John Kelly (as highly unusual name, HA!) and he died in Green Co. Georgia. I am listing below a newspaper item about his death. His daughter, Elizabeth, married Elihu Hall and their daughter Amanda Hall married John T. Hailes, my grandfather. Any information would be appreciated. "Greene County, Georgia, Newspaper Clippings" page 218 as follows: Thursday, April 16, 1868 - DROWNED - Mr. John Kelly, one of the oldest citizens of this county, was drowned in the Oconee River, one day last week. It is thought he fell from a bateau while fishing. Mr. Kelly was the grandfather of J. F. Hall, of our city. Gordon Reid Hale Jr. Grand Prairie, Texas
