I am looking for info on John KELLY, b. 1848 or June 1846 (two different census' - believe the latter to be correct) in Ohio. He married Selinda STEMPLE, Nov. 4, 1869, Carroll Co., OH. They raised their family in Jefferson Co., OH. Selinda died 1891 and is buried in Island Creek Cemetery, Jefferson Co. She seems (if I am reading tombstone info correctly) to be buried with or near a Thomas KELLY, d. 1881, age 68 - I do not know if there is a relationship, but I have tried to investigate that possibility. I found a John Kelly (mine, I believe) on the 1850 census, but the census taker only put initials for the parents - father initial 'I' as in Isaac, and mother initial 'P' or 'R' (they were both born in Ohio). I have also tried to research every male 'I' name I can think of (and some that this list suggested), but to no avail. John and Selinda Kelly's children were: Dora b. app 1872, Edwin b. app. 1874, Dasia (may have actually been Darcy) b. app 1875, Nancy/Nannie b. app 1877, Charles b. Nov. 1879, Lizzie b. Nov. 1882, Ida b. Apr. 1886, and John b. Dec. 1890. Thanks in advance for any help, leads, ideas or suggestions! LindaB
