    1. Re: KELLY, Margaret--New York City

    3. Adelaide, I have a Margaret Kelly in my line, my grandmother who we refer to as GG, (Grandma GETHARD). My Margaret was born in Newark NJ, 06 Sept. 1911 and died in Bloomfield NJ, 01 Sept. 1996. Margaret's parents are John Cecil Edward KELLY and Virginia AMONDS. John KELLY was born in Brooklyn NY, 20 Jan. 1878, but they have no record of his birth in New York. Your posting interested me because of your first name. My great grandfather John KELLY had brothers Daniel and George, Daniel married Mary and they had a daughter Adelaide KELLY. The family home in Brooklyn was on DeKalb Ave. I don't have a lot of info on my KELLY's at all. I do know that John KELLY's father's name was probably Patrick KELLY and his mother was Cecilia RYAN. Patrick's name comes from the death certificate of John so it might not be correct as his 3rd wife, Fanny, was the informant and she didn't have Cecilia's name right. Any chance we are looking for the same KELLY family? Would love to hear from you.
