I have an old and heft volume of records -Spelman Genealogy by Fannie Cooley Willliams Barber. On page 471 there is the family group record for Milliard Milton Kelley. The 7th child is Walter William, born 1 Oct,1896. I rather suppose that's your man ! The two Hughes are my common ancestors with you. Check back if any of this sounds useful to you.
