    3. Hi Luther, The Group Rate for the 25 Marker Test is $169 and the 37 Marker Test is $219. If you click on the drop down arrow on the Test Selection Box on the Online Application you can select any of these options. However, I would recommend selecting the 12 Marker Test for several reasons. One is you can request at some time in the future that the original sample be tested for 25 or 37 markers by paying for an upgrade. The upgrade cost from 12 to 25 is $100. The upgrade cost from 12 to 37 is $169. Only in a case where you have a 12 Marker match with another participant and both of you can not discover the connection with Family History Records would you want to consider both participants upgrading to a 25 or 37 marker test to better estimate how far back in time that Common Ancestor lived. Go to the FTDNA Kelley page http://www.familytreedna.com/kelley/public and sign up today. My ancestor John Kelly was in Jackson Co., Ga from about 1801 until 1809. My ancestor John Kelly lived in Capt. William Lloyd's District on the Apalachee River which was included in Clarke Co.,Ga in 1802. I am interested in more data on Thomas Kelly who was in Jackson Co.,Ga in the early 1800's. I have data on the children of Thomas Kelly. I would like to know who his father and brothers were. In the 1797 Tax List of Jackson Co. there is a Thomas Kelly and a William Kelly in Capt. William Hopkins District. I am not sure I researched the location of Capt. Hopkins District. To be on the Tax List for 1797 this Thomas Kelly and William Kelly would have been born prior to 1776. In the "Minutes of the Court of the Ordinary", (1822-1831), there is an Order as follows:" Ordered that Letters of Administration be granted to Thomas Morgan and Thomas Kelly on the Estate of Wm. Kelly, Dec.. Bond and Security, $400." This could mean that Thomas is a son of Wm. Kelly. Have you checked the Jackson Co. Records to see if there is a Will for Wm. Kelly during the period (1822-1831)? I hope you can supply that 12 Marker match I have been hoping for. Best Regards, Raymond Kelly ----- Original Message ----- From: Luther Kelly To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, May 15, 2005 3:07 PM Subject: Kelly DNA Testing Raymond, I am interested in your DNA testing project, but I have a question. The price I saw was for the 12 marker was $99. Are the 25 and 37 marker kits available and what are their costs? I descend from Thomas Kelly who was in Jackson Co., GA in the early 1800's. He married an Agnes Carmichael there on Jan. 24, 1825. His son, William Washington Kelly (my ancestor), was born Dec. 25, 1830, in Jackson Co., GA. Sometime around 1850-60, he went to Blount Co., AL where he married and had a family. His two sons eventually went to TX. I will be happy to send further data if you're interested. Thanks, Luther Kelly 100 General Lee St. Houma, LA 70360-7539 (985) 876-0941
