This family is living in Bon Homme County South Dakota in 1900. According to their census entry, John Kelley was born May 1865 in Michigan. He offers no birthplaces for his parents. His wife Florence gives a birthdate of December 1873 in Nebraska. In 1910, the family was in Denver Colorado with a total of 11 children. The parents' ages are consistent with the 1900 census and they give the same birthplaces. I did not find either parent in 1880 in spite of trying a lot of search options. There is one five year old John Kelley in Michigan in the 1870 census. His parents are Terince and Susan Kelley both born in Ireland. I didn't find them in 1880 either. There were several siblings who were born in Western Canada. I also found an entry in the IGI at www.familysearch.org for Florence Alena Harper. That record states she was born December 14, 1873 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and died Jan 2, 1915. It names her parents as Oliver Perry Harper and Priscilla Dungan. No other children are given and there is no mention of her marriage to John Kelley. I couldn't tell who the submitter was. You posted a message that was regarding a Kelley family. Some of the states you listed are some of the states I know my Kelley family has lived. I'm looking for any in formation on my great grandfather John Logan Kelley. He was born about 5-6-1865, perhaps in Michigan or IN. or IA. This is just speculation. I do know that John Logan Kelley did live in Storm Lake, IA in 1898 where my grandmother was born. Any information that anyone can share about John Logan Kelley would be of great help.
