In approximately 1878, Edmond Kelley and Eliza Lucas Kelley relocated from the Cane Creek area of Clarke County, Alabama to Newton County, Mississippi. In his household in the 1880 US Census for Newton County, Mississippi, the Kelley family consisted of Caroline (Carrie), 19 years old; Ophelia F. Kelley, 17 years old; Martha (Mollie) Kelley, 14 years old; Jasper (Jack) Kelley, 12 years old, and Della Kelley, 10 years old. Living next door was Edmond R. Kelley oldest son, William Riley Kelley and his wife Mary Elizabeth (Bettie) Price. Carrie Kelley married Green S. Radford and remained in NewtonCounty, MS; Ophelia F. Kelley married Dr. William J. J. Ross and remained in Newton County, MS; Mollie Kelley married E. M. William on 10/15/1885 and relocated. Jasper (Jack) Kelley married Mattie Narcus Marble in Lauderdale County, MS and then relocated back to southern Alabama. L. Della Kelley ! married Thomas A. Stewart on 8/6/1893 in Newton County, MS and then relocated to LA when she had daughters Thelma, Bernice, Billie and Pauline; and William Riley Kelley and Mary Elizabeth Price relocated to Jones County, MS.
