On 9/11/1871 in Burton, Washington County, Texas, Candace Elliott Kelley gave birth to James Franklin Kelley. James Franklin Kelley married Waldine in Washington County, Texas in 1896. Frank Kelley and Waldine were the parent of at least five children, Mary, born Apr 1897; Ernest, born in Mar 1899; Bernice, born in 1903; Orrin, born in 1906; and Sallie born in 1910. All the above children were born in Washington County, Texas. James Frank Kelley and Waldine Kelley remained in Washington County, Texas through the 1920 US Census. By the 1930 US Census, James Frank, Waldine, Ernest, and Orrin were living in Bee County, Texas; and Bernice was living in Houston, Harris County, Texas.
