    1. [KELLEY] JOHN, PATRICK AND MARTIN KELLEY - PA
    2. Thanks for responding Raymond. Here is what I know about my family: I am researching families in SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, PA and BLUEFIELD, WV with the last name of KELLEY. I have been searching for my great great grandfather’s family for a good number of years. His name was JOHN KELLY/KELLEY and he was born in Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland around 1828. He immigrated to the United States in 1852. He met his future wife while traveling across the Atlantic on a ship called Rip Van Winkle. Her name was ELLEN NOLAN and she was from Tipperary, Ireland. She may have been born in Thurles around 1831.    John and Ellen moved to Shenandoah, PA and lived for a time at 233 North Jardin Street. They also lived in New Castle, PA. They had the following children:   Michael – 1855 John – 1857 Mary – 1859 Martin – 1861 James – 1863 Patrick – 1865 Margaret (Maggie) 1867 William – Abt. 1869   John was a miner. He may have died in a mining accident in the Little Diamond Colliery on June 30, 1886 but I am not positive about this. My great grandfather was PATRICK J. KELLEY and he moved from Schuylkill County to Bluefield, West Virginia. I know that his brother MARTIN KELLEY was close to Patrick because he served as the best man at Patrick’s wedding. * * * * * * Kelly, John, age 50, miner, b. Ireland Ellen, age 39, keeping house, b. 3. Thanks very much for the info. I am looking for the Parents of John Kelly/Kelley , b.c.1765, who was in Guilford Co., NC, in 1782. Most of his neighbors came from Chester Co., PA or Cecil Co., MD.
