He was the third son born to Heman and Ruth (Lapham) Kelley. Heman Kelley and Ruth Lapham were married in Dartmouth,Bristol Co., Ma 3 July 1823. She was the daughter of Humphrey and Ruth (Sisson) Lapham. Who are Heman's parents??? On the 1830 NY census, Heman was born between 1830-40 in Ma. I later found he was born in Barnstable Co., Ma.
