There's a "Kelley" family, out of Santa Cruz, California. my great grandmother is a Uhden. Now, the Uhdens and the Leibbrandts are the matriarch and patriarch of record, whom I can locate in the U.S. The Leibbrandts made their money/gold, as miners, up in the Trinity river area of California. If YOUR Kelly's were miners and met the Uhdens, it might explain the connection. Let me look around town. There's a part of town with the family names in it, and place names like "Trinity St." If Placer St. is nearby, then I will have an answer.
