I've "rescued" two old photographs both identified as members of the MATHER Family. The first is a photograph of Susan MATHER SNOW. The photograph was taken at the Lesure & Prouty Studio in Brattleboro, Vermont. It appears to have been taken in the 1890's with Susan likely in her 50's at the time it was taken. The second is a photograph identified as William MATHER which was taken at the Lesure & Dunklee Studio in Brattleboro, VT and is dated 1890 with William appearing to be in his 50's or 60's at the time. There is also some handwriting on the back of William's photograph was I am not able to read however it appears to be "VT" along with some additional letters. Based on limited research and thanks to a MATHER Family Researcher I was able to gather the following information regarding these siblings from the MATHER Family: Both are children of Dan MATHER and Almira MILLER. Susan J. MATHER b. 11 Dec 1828 in Marlboro, VT, married Flint W. SNOW on 5 Apr 1854 in Marlboro. William MATHER was b. 22 Nov 1833 in Marlboro and died 1907 in Brattleboro, VT. William married Demaris Starr KELLEY on 7 May 1856 in Marlboro and together they had six children including, George W.; Ida Almira; Clarence E.; Clara B.; Minnie J.; and Freddie S. MATHER born between 1858 and 1875, all in Marlboro. Susan and William's siblings included, Eunice; Almira; Helia Ann; Marietta; Mary M.; Hannah; Miller Dan; and David MATHER all born between 1819 and 1836 in Marlboro. I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that these wonderful old photographs can be returned to the care of family.
