Martha was probably the daughter of Absolom and Mary (Templeton) Phebus. They lived in White and Jasper Co. most of their lives. Absolom's name has been "mutilated" throughout historical documentation. He served in the civil war, 57th Indiana Regt. His marriage license lists him as "Abraham". I hope this is of some help.
