This is the information that my cousin and I collected. My Great Grandfather Andrew Jackson Kelley was born October 21, 1843 in Decatur County, Ga. and died January 3, 1895 in Baker County, Ga. Buried in Kelley Family Cemetery, Miller County, Ga. He married (1) Mary Ann Elizabeth Parker about 1865 in Miller County, Ga. She was born about 1846. He married (2) Polly Ann Haire about 1875, daughter of Jessee Hair and Diery. She was born about 1840 (?) in Ga. and died unknown and buried in kelley Family Cemetery, Miller Co., Ga. Notes for Polly Ann Haire: name in cemetery survey is Polly Ann Haire Kelley. Maiden name probably was Polly Ann Haire, and she was married to a man named Pate before marring Andrew. However the Baker County 1850 census spells the name, "Hair". In George W. Kelley's obituary in the newspaper, there is reference to his surviving brothers, Jackie Kelley of Lakeland, F. and Jesse D. Pate, of Colquitt. This Jesse can only be a half brother, ie, a son of his Mother by her previous marriage to a man named Pate. Wayne Cook's family history shows Polly Ann as having a child named Dice Pate, married to Willis Cook? The Family Group sheet from Nellie C. Davis spells the name as Polly Ann Hair Pate. Children of Andrew Kelly and Polly Haire are:George Washington Kelley, b Nov. 17, 1876, Baker Conty, Ga.;d Aug. 30 1953, Baker County, Ga. Buried in the Kelley Family Cemetery, Miller Co., Ga. (2) Milbry Ann Kelley, b Feb 18,1880; d May 23, 1946. (3) Andrew Jackson Kelley, b May 12 1884, Baker county, Ga. SSN 263 03 3320; d May 29th 1973, Lakeland Fl. There seems to be two different A. J. Kelley/Kelly's in the Decatur County area. The marriage index list an A.J. Kelley marrying a Mary Dollar on Jan 7 1869, and marring Elizabeth D. Brock on Sept.8 1887. This is just a flag for researcher;s to be aware of. Also, there is an A.J. Kelley buried in the Old Morris Hill Cemetery in Decatur cny, with date of birth of April 25the, 1840, and date of death as Mar. 20, 1919. I hope this helps you.
