Hello, I'm new to this list and live at Canyon Lake, Texas. I want to also thank Paula, my neighbor in San Antonio for hosting this list. I need help with finding the ancestors of Zina KELLY, b. c. 1820 LA. Zina married abt. 1838 probably in Jasper Co., TX, Martin PARMER. Martin was a very colorful early Texas settler and signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence. I suspect that Zina was related to Barbary and Alexander KELLY found in the 1840 Jasper Co., TX Census. There is also a Daniel KELLY found in the 1846 Jasper Co., Census. From Texas Confederate Pension Application Files, there was an Alexander Daniel KELLEY who filed for a pension as well as his wife, Sarah Frances. This Alexander Daniel may be a brother to Zina . Martin PARMER bought a home in Walker Co., TX and died in 1850 before he could move his family. Zina moved to Walker Co. and raised Martin's family. Appreciate any help with this family.
