Paula Thank you for the welcome: Hi All, This is my problem: My father was born Michael Moran Kelley on Feb 14, 1942 in Braddock General Hospital, Allegheny PA. His parents were Harold Stanley Kelley, and Olive Elizabeth Fundis. My Grandmother Olive remarried and her second husband Raymond Sturm adopted my father when he was 16. As far as I know this is how the story goes: Olive Fundis lived in Trafford PA, Olive and Harold ran off to get married to Wheeling WV around 1940-1941,shortly after Harold went off to the service (which branch I have no idea). Olive recieved a "Dear John" letter while he was in the service. Olive went off and had the baby and she remarried in Nov of 1946 when my dad was 4. I would like to find information on Harold's family. My grandmother is still living, and I am unable to wiggle very much information from her. All I have to go on is this: Harold Kelley was two years older than my grandmother (she was born in 1922), he lived with his mother parents ( surname unknown) in Pitcarin, Allegheny County PA, he had a sister Olive (same as my grandmother) who may have lived in Wall, Allegheny County PA. My grandmother remembers going to his fathers funeral but can not ( or will not) remember his name, this would have been before 1960 because my grandmother moved out of state at that time. I know there was a divorce in 1946 because there is one on file in Westmoreland County PA. I have checked with Ohio County (Wheeling) and they say they have no marriage record. Sorry to be so long winded, I do not have to contact Mr Kelley ( if he is still alive) I would just like some family history. If anybody has any suggestion please feel free Terry from Turtle Creek PA
