Hello All - I would really be happy if someone out there could identify themselves as descendents of Jonathan Latimer Kelley. Up until yesterday the only information I knew about JLK was that he was my great great uncle and that he served in the Union Army. I filled out the NARA forms several months ago and yesterday I learned more than I had ever expected. The National Archives came through with a lot of information on him. Jonathan Latimer Kelley's father was Bartholomew Kelley and his brother Marcus was my great great grandfather. JLK served in the 11th Kentucky Voluntary Infantry (Union Army) during the Civil War. The pension papers included the information that after the was he married and had at least 8 children. They resided in Huntsville, Butler Co., Kentucky - approximately 5 miles from where he was raised. Jonathan Latimer Kelley (?-Feb 20, 1906) married Mary Spillman on Jan 15, 1865 William born 1865 Fannie born 1867 French (?) born March 1869 Annie born May 1871 Harry born Nov 1872 David born Aug 1876 Freddie born Feb 1879 Hugh (?)
