I have been sucessful in finding my former "most wanted Kelley", thanks to descendants of my John Kelley's mother's family - the McCants. Now I have a new brick wall: Seeking parents of "Robert M. C. KELLEY" born 11 Mar 1849 in MO or AL, married Mary Jane SMITH 13 Oct 1872 in McLennan County, Texas; died 22 Jan 1906, buried at China Spring Cemetery, McLennan County, TX. For some reason, there is no death certificate on file. Mary Jane SMITH, born 17 Oct 1854 in NC, died 29 Apr 1936, is also buried at China Spring, TX. Her parents are "John SMITH of England" (I'm NOT kidding!) and Emma M. DOOKBILL (details unknown). The son of Robert and Mary Jane was John Means KELLEY, my former 'most wanted'.
