I've been looking for relatives of my g-g-g grandmother Judith Kelley Thompson for my current family history project. I had such a wonderful experience that I want to share it. I'm working with the story of a trip my g-g-g grandparents took out west in 1869 to visit relatives who had moved away from Vermont over the years. I have the letters they wrote & received during their journey to Wyoming & Erie counties in NY, and to Lake City, Wabasha Co., MN. Friday night I found names of my g-g-g grandmother's longlost brother & his family in western NY from the website of the family he married into. I checked the website for NY graves, but didn't find the right cemetery, so I e-mailed the guy who posted info about nearby cemeteries. The next morning, he drove to the town, discovered another cemetery there, copied the headstones, & e-mailed me back with the info on the people I was looking for! Astounding!
