Greetings from Boston and Best Wishes for a Happy Holiday! My most wanted Kelly is OWEN KELLY born in Monaghan (don't know if town or county) Ireland in 1842. His parents were Owen and Mary. He arrived in Boston on or about August 4, 1852. Then he disappears until about 1860 when he joins the Mass. Volunteers for the Civil War. In 1864 he became a citizen...still no real information gleened from those papers....he later married Johanna Harrington, daughter of Quinn and Mary of Somerville, Ma. They had three children, John Phillip (my grandfather) Mary and William (who died very young) Owen and Johanna lived in Stoneham, Ma. for many years and raised their children there. Owen died in 1911. Would like to find where he came from and where he was for the years between arriving in Boston and joining the Army. He is a real mystery. Maureen Maloney
