My problem in Kelley research is this. I can trace back to a John Kelley, born in late 1800s and died 1818 in Lincoln Co., TN. I believe he is the son of Nelson (possibly William Nelson) Kelley born 1725 and married Elizabeth Jefferies, but I can't prove it. I know Nelson had a son named John and that Nelson and my John were in Bedford County, TN at the same time, but I would like to find proof that they are related. Can anyone help me?
