Hi All, My most wanted KELLY is WILLIAM JAMES KELLY, born in Ireland, married Margaret Morrisey in about 1855 in Michigan (possibly Huron County, Ontario). They had four children all born in Michigan: John, born about 1856 Wm. James, born about 1858 Mary, born about 1860 Catherine, born about 1862 (my maternal grandmother who married John Heffner who died and she them married Michael McCarty in Fonda, IA in 1886). My Kelly was probably known as James. He went to the Civil War and did not return. His wife's obituary in 1904 (then Margaret Dunn) said he died in 1865. I am in the process of tracking all likely William and James Kellys that entered the Civil War from Michigan and cross checking them with the 1860 census - it is a long process. If I get a match, I will again try the Nat'l Archives. A Holiday connection would indeed be wonderful. Iral Nelson
