Seeking info on the following family. Jacob Kelley/Kelly, b. Apr 1816, SC, d. ca 1901/1902, either Chilton/Coosa Co., AL m. Harriet Lybrand, ca 1840, SC. d. ca 1861, AL., m. 2nd Sarah Ann Sims (no children) Children: 1. W. C. 2. B. 3. H. 4. Tyre/Tyria Asia (Shun), b. 15 Apr 1848, Lexington District, SC. d. 15 Nov 1915, Wetumpka, AL., m. Laura Ann Suttle 5. Laura Jane . b. 4 Oct 1850, Coosa Co., AL., d. 23 Jan 1930, Titus, AL., m William W. Maddox 6. Sally, b. ca 1853, d. ukn 7. Nancy D., b. Mar 1855, Coosa Co., AL., d. ca 1927, Chilton Co., AL 8. George Patrick, b. 1857 (Gravestone), Aug 1858, (Census data), Coosa Co., AL d. 27 May 1935, Deatsville, AL, Elmore Co., AL., m. Narcissis Lary 9. Joseph Si/Samuel Louis, b. 4 Apr 1860, Coosa Co., AL., d. 19 Jun 1944, Clanton, AL., m. Elizabeth Rich. First three children known only by initials, via the 1860 AL. census, The Alabama 1866 state census for Jacob, indicates that two sons died during the war. A third son survived, but I do not know which one. The first I believe to be named William, second son may have been Bennet, & the third may have been Henry a name from the Lybrand line. My line is thru the Rev T. A. (Shun) Kelly who was a Baptist preacher in the Elmore/Coosa Co., AL., area. I know that he was b. in the Lexington District of SC. There is a Jacob Kelly on the 1840 Lexington District SC census, & I feel that he is mine, but I have no documentation to prove this, as the records of that area were destroyed. Jacob migrated with his father-in-law, William Lybrand to Alabama between 1848 & 1850, along with many families of the Lexington area. I have him on the 1850 census, but there are no children listed. He is listed as living in the household of his father-in-law. I am trying to connect with the Kehelle/Koelle/Khelle/Kolle family who migrated to SC mid 1750's from Germany, & changed their name to Kelly/Kelley after their arrival. Ann Corum Hazel Green, AL
