An index on records and other places shows my Giles Kelley as Jiles(Giles) Kell(e)y Guess that is because all of the census takers, will makers and other people just spelled it like someone else they knew or sounded it out....sometime the documents had it spelled several different ways. Maybe the writer was Catholic and so he spelled it Kelly and so on. June March jmarch@pe.net
